Meet the founding team running PayFex Global.

Cian Fitzpatrick

Co-Founder & Director

Cian is a fintech executive with deep expertise across payments, FX, digital commerce, and international banking.

Before co-founding PayFex Global, he led the EMEA region at TransferMate Global Payments with full P&L ownership, driving strategic growth and commercial performance. Earlier, at Fiserv, he spearheaded major digital commerce initiatives across the US and EEA, partnering with global brands to modernize merchant acquiring and customer engagement.

A frequent speaker at international fintech events, Cian is known for translating complex industry trends into clear, actionable insights. He holds an MBA with distinction from Alliance Manchester Business School and is an executive member of Pavilion, a global community for growth-focused leaders.

Dylan is a fintech leader with a strong track record in supporting business growth and commercial success across global markets.

Before co-founding PayFex Global, he served as Head of International Sales at Robotify, where he helped drive revenue growth and expand the company’s international footprint. His efforts contributed to Robotify’s successful acquisition by Imagine Learning, and he played a key role in upskilling and expanding a global sales team of over 400 professionals. Most recently, Dylan contributed to key business development and operational initiatives at Revolut, supporting the company's continued rapid growth.

Earlier in his career at Sysnet Global Solutions, he gained valuable experience in acquisition strategy and integration. His first exposure to M&A, which laid the groundwork for his expertise in high-growth, transformational environments.

Ciarán Palmer

Founding Engineer

Ciarán is a full-stack engineer with six years building communications infrastructure, and a specialist in applying AI to production systems.

Before joining PayFex Global as Founding Engineer, he spent six years at Telnyx, where he led the development of Telnyx Flow from concept through to launch and go-to-market, including the product's public marketing material. Released in June 2024 after six months of build, it onboarded over a thousand users in its first two weeks.

He went on to lead the AI Integrations team, responsible for bringing AI into every Telnyx product, and trained several engineers along the way. He has been building with large language models since 2023 and won a company-wide hackathon for an AI-integrated system.

Much of his work has been from first principles: building systems and the infrastructure under them rather than assembling what already exists. He holds a first-class honours degree in Computer Science from Dublin City University, where he was a top performer and received the award for best final year project.
